The  WAM Schools Program forms a significant component of Write Around the Murray. It is offered free of charge to all schools within 150km of Albury and provides opportunities for more than 1,600 students to be inspired by and learn from some of Australia's best authors and illustrators. Each year busloads of students travel from as far as Mt Beauty, Myrtleford, Billabong, Corowa and Wagga Wagga.

2020 Schools Program

We're doing things a little differently this year. Like so many others, instead of a physical festival we’re planning an online event program.

Authors James Phelan, Nova Weetman and George Ivanoff are busily creating online content for primary grades 3 – 6 and secondary grades 7 – 12. You’ll be able to stream their video classes anytime from July to December. We hope this provides greater flexibility with less planning and scheduling stress.

The Schools Program is available to all schools within a 150km radius of Albury Wodonga. Not receiving the LibraryMuseum schools and educators bulletin? Contact us here
