Write Around the Murray acknowledges the Wiradjuri people as the first storytellers and traditional custodians of the land on which we live, work, read and write. The Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people of Australia were the first storytellers of this ancient land. It is their songs, stories and dances that first brought this land's stories into existence. When you walk upon this Wiradjuri land, remember those who came before and sung this land into existence. We look to the next generation who will continue these ancient stories and add their own voice to this Country.
