River of Stories is a  writing competition for primary and secondary school students who reside in the AlburyWodonga region. It has been brought to the region by the Albury Hume Rotary Club since 2003.

This year, for the first time, we integrated the River of Stories competition as a feature of the Write Around the Murray Festival. Students in Years 3 to 10 were invited to submit a short story on any theme or subject of their choice. Great prizes for the winning writers in four categories included the winner in each category receiving a $500 donation to their school library!
