River of Stories is a  writing competition for primary and secondary school students who reside in the AlburyWodonga region. It has been brought to the region by the Albury Hume Rotary Club since 2003.

This year, for the first time, we are excited to announce the River of Stories competition as a feature of the Write Around the Murray Festival. It replaces the Nano Competition of previous years. This year we invite students in Years 3 to 10 to submit a short story on any theme or subject of their choice. There are great prizes for the winning writers in four categories. The winner in each category also wins $500 for their school library!
