Andrea Rowe is an award-winning children’s author, ghost-writer and copywriter. Her picture book Jetty Jumping (Hardie Grant) won the 2022 Children’s Book Council of Australia, Picture Book of the Year for Early childhood. Sunday Skating and In the Rockpools are her latest 2023 picture book releases.
Andrea’s also the winner of the 2020 Hal Porter Short Story Award, Highly Commended for the 2022 Newcastle Short Story Award and her writing features in the upcoming Teacher, Teacher anthology with Affirm Press.
A passionate advocate for contemporary Australian literature, Andrea’s the ‘author-in-conversation’ host with Sorrento’s Antipodes Books, the Founding President of Peninsula Writers’ Club and the Mornington Peninsula Shire Mayor’s Short Story Writing Award.
