Helen Chamberlin is a publishing consultant and former children’s publisher of Lothian Children’s Books, an imprint of Hachette Australia, and will share her expertise on the right way to go about having your book published. Writing Communities into the Mainstream - Due to unforseen circumstances this workshop has been cancelled.
Campion Decent A workshop led by Campion Decent that looks at the ethical, craft-based and practical issues in creating theatre from community stories. The workshop includes a case study of the development of the writer's play EMBERS (return season at Albury Entertainment Centre on 7-8 August prior to national touring). The play, produced by HotHouse Theatre and Sydney Theatre Company, premiered in Albury-Wodonga in 2006 prior to a season in Sydney and touring regionally. It subsequently won an AWGIE and the Queensland Premier's Literary Award for Drama Script (Stage).
