Anthony has been self publishing his own zines for over 10 years. Over this time he has put out over 30 publications of various names and types. He loves the immediate nature of self publishing and the community that surrounds Australian comics.
“I really like how anyone who has an idea can pick up a pen and start drawing comics, they don’t have to be perfect and could even be crude stick figures. The comic can then be easily photocopied and distributed to just friends or the whole world.”
His last series of books was called 7 Pages Digest and is comprised of sketchbook drawings and autobiographical comic strips. He is currently working on a few different comics projects that are in various stages of production. He hopes to soon write a longer fiction style comic in the coming year.
He also participates in online Art communities, international print swaps, and zine workshops. He currently teaches drawing and digital art to tertiary students. He has a Bachelor in Fine Arts, with Honours, majoring in drawing.
