PD Martin – Phillipa Deanne Martin – lives in Melbourne, Australia and developed a passion for crime fiction and story telling at an early age. This interest was reinforced with formal education through a Bachelor of Behavioural Sciences (with majors in psychology and criminology) and a Postgraduate Certificate in Professional Writing (creative writing).
She is the author of four novels featuring Australian FBI profiler Sophie Anderson. The first in the Sophie Anderson series, Body Count, was inspired by a nightmare that haunted Phillipa for years. The other books in the series are The Murderers’ Club, Fan Mail and The Killing Hands and all have or are about to be published in the US, UK, Germany, France, Canada, Ireland and New Zealand.
Prior to becoming a full-time author, Phillipa worked as a professional writer for nearly ten years, writing award-winning copy for brochures, newsletters, websites, training CD-ROMs, flyers, ads, media releases and magazines.
