Michael Pryor was born in Swan Hill, Victoria, Australia. He has worked in a scrap metal yard and as a drainer’s labourer, a truck driver, a tap salesman, an Internet consultant, a software developer, a secondary school teacher and an educational publisher. He has published eighteen novels and over 40 short stories. His work has appeared in China, New Zealand, Denmark, the United States, Russia as well as here in Australia.
He has been short listed six times for the Aurealis Award, as well as the WAYBR award, and three of his novels have been CBC Notable Books. His books include the Doorways Trilogy, Quentaris in Flames, Blaze of Glory, Heart of Gold, the Lost Castle and The Missing Kin .
