Stereo Stories features writers narrating their personal stories about songs, accompanied – at various points in the story – by musicians playing those songs.
Stereo Stories Live at Write Around The Murray features an all-new line up of stories, including stories written and narrated by Danny Katz, Emily Maguire, Tony Birch, Rijn Collins and Vin Maskell, all backed by The Stereo Stories Band. We’ll hear stories inspired by songs by The Doors, Nick Cave, Simon & Garfunkel, The Smiths, The Beatles and more.
With self-serve food platters included, cabaret style self-seating and drinks available at the bar, this will be a perfect night out and a great chance to meet and mingle with many of our festival guests. Numbers are limited so be sure to book early.
Last year's event was one of our highlights. Check it out:
"Stereo Stories feels like the perfect way to make a writers festival that extra bit more special. The personal stories entwined with the songs transcends any other event I’ve been involved with. I bloody loved every moment, and left just wanting more."
Markus Zusak, Willy Lit Fest 2017
“Stereo Stories is the perfect blend of words, story and music. The writers’ stories are powerfully supported and enhanced by the amazingly versatile and evocative Stereo Stories band through a whole range of emotions. You’ll laugh, you’ll cry and most importantly, you’ll hear each song with fresh ears and new meaning.”
Andy Griffiths, Willy Lit Fest 2017
